Participating by observing

Even worse than writing a nerve-wrecking first post...
is looking around in your little ´petit-déjeuner-de-moi´
and searching for something that pokes the eye.

Sitting behind tomorrow´s newspaper,
I´ve been observing all the fresh- and smelly -visitors that have stopped by so far.

Since you guys are my way to generate an income,
I´ll have to find a way to amuse you.
(Leading towards some more tipping, giving me the opportunity to buy a good ol´ typewriter.)

We´ll organise some karaoke soon, ´till that moment; Take a plunge into my mind.
(Don´t be afraid, I´ll lock the dark chambers.)

I´ll kick off with some wisdomosity about being an observer,
compared to being a participant.

There are usually two ways to live your life, being:
As an observer or as a participant.

The observer will only observe and not participate.
A participant will only participate and not observe.

The observer will learn through observation.
A participant will learn through mistake.

An observer will observe all the possibilities, thus the observer will have great intelligence.
The participant will participate all his or her decisions, thus a participant will have great wisdom.

An observer occupies his or her time by observing,
aware of every possible paths, but won't get anywhere because observer don't participate.
A participant occupies his or her time by participating, unaware of other possible paths,
but won't get anywhere because participant don't observe.

When you choose to become an observer,
you will only observe the success and failure of other participant.
When you choose to become a participant,
you will feel the happiness and sadness of success and failure yourself.

So which one do (or did) you choose to be?
Do you live your life being an observer? Or as a participant?
